Hello Marlon,

Just wanted to thank you for the latest writers secret, and for the "creating your own products dashboard". I'm not a procrastinator, I just seem to magically over-complicate simple instructions.

My biggest stumbling bloc was working between two worlds ... the old PC world and the old Mac world. Once I upgraded my system, creating web pages became a much simpler process for me. Keying in html by hand was not a pleasant experience and the results were worse.

As I think you may know, I left a very good paying job to take care of a sick family member while he went through spinal surgery, 2 hand surgeries and heart surgery in the last 2 years, and as the sole provider my savings were dwindling fast. Hence my foray into working on the net.

I purchased one system after the other trying to get a quick fix, but instead all I got was overwhelmed and frustrated. Then I tried to mix and match what I was learning . Wrong approach.

When I went back to the basics, your instructions held true ... without them I would never have created my own product(s) or even made a squeeze page. The one I have made is rather rough I know, but it's a start.

Using your teachings as well as some very detailed market research into my primary niche (not internet marketing) my primary site was launched on the 7th of January 2010 with 2 simple pages. I've since expanded it and it is growing slowly, and today when I looked at Alexa it was at 1.348 M. (I know I know ... not good enough quite yet ... but each day sees a significant increase and I do all of my own content).

On a personal level, I've outlined exactly what steps I've taken and wrote all of it down, condensed into 2 pages, that I've posted online in my blog, and most of those steps involve what I've learned from you.

With my computer upgrades I've lost my contact method for you and for some reason I don't get your Saturday newsletters anymore either, which is why I'm writing to your blog. I was hoping you'd take a boo at it, let me know what you think (you might think it stinks!), and if it's good enough or needs tweaking to be good enough, perhaps you could suggest something of yours that I can place as a bonus for those that do upload those 2 pages and place it on my download page along with an OTO?

Sincerely,
Angela
PS - any suggestions (criticisms or advice) you may have would be welcomed
